This week has seen the release of the latest decision of the respected independent guide to the legal profession for our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence departments – Chambers & Partners 2017.
The guide is published after extensive research to identify leaders in their fields – and the Clarke Willmott Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams have received high praise for their technical skills and client care.
Bristol personal injury and clinical negligence rankings
In the South West, the guide notes that contributors said:-
They’re fabulous. They’re very professional but also very personable and responsive”.
Individuals in the Bristol office team were singled out for particular praise. Our head of department, Martin Pettingell is amongst the top rated lawyers in the region, being ranked in the prestigious band 1 and the guide notes “he’s very compassionate and relates really well to his clients” and he is recognised for his experience in child and adolescent brain injury claims.
Kerry Fifield, who leads our clinical negligence lawyers is recognised for her experience in birth injury claims and one client said “She went the extra mile. She was always keeping in contact and keeping me up to date”

Our Taunton office is seen as a standout law firm in Somerset, ranking in Band 1 for both claimant personal injury claims and clinical negligence. Both Chris Thorne and Lee Hart also achieve the prestigious Band 1 category in their own right. The Taunton team are said to be “Very professional, client-centred approach”
