Natalie Pickford is a solicitor in Clarke Willmott’s Manchester Housing Management team. Natalie was admitted as a Solicitor in 2015 following the successful completion of a training contract with a niche housing management practice.

Natalie has acted and represented numerous Housing Associations and Local authorities in actions including, Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions; Claims for possession; Advising on and drafting ASB and starter tenancy policies and procedures; Common law breach of tenancy Injunctions, on basis of property and garden condition, including hoarding, and access. In addition, Natalie has conducted monthly legal surgeries and update meetings for clients in the Northwest.

Natalie also has in house experience, having been seconded to West Lancashire Borough Council, advising and progressing housing cases, including equitable tenancies and minors, complex mental health matters and ASB Injunction and possession cases.

Natalie spent three years working for Northwards Housing, a not-for-profit ALMO that manages over 13,000 Manchester City Council homes across North Manchester. Natalie’s areas covered Harpurhey and Moston, managing a large caseload of ASB matters, including Possession, Injunction, ASBO, domestic violence and preparing such cases for legal action. Natalie also worked closely with Greater Manchester Police Force in tackling ASB.


  • Advising on and acting for a Housing Association on the new absolute ground for possession
  • Claim for Possession based on Proceeds of crime and drugs. Appealed the decision to award a postponed possession Order. On appeal, Order overturned and an outright Order for possession made
  • Outright Order for Possession of family home on the grounds of drugs
  • Advising on and representing Housing Associations on the new discretionary ground of nuisance and annoyance to Landlord
  • Securing a suspension of a right to buy in respect of an assured tenant with protected rights as a result of ASB
  • Applying and Securing a ‘without notice’ common law Injunction which included a clause for exclusion of the tenant on the grounds of health and safety and property condition
