Caitlin Gallagher is a Solicitor in Clarke Willmott’s contentious construction team.
Caitlin specialises primarily in contentious construction and dispute resolution. Caitlin has experience in litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, adjudication, arbitration, mediation and resolving disputes pre-action.
Caitlin has acted for employers, contractors and sub-contractors in respect of payment disputes, defect claims and professional negligence actions. She also has experience in insurance law.
Caitlin also has experience in drafting bespoke terms and conditions, advising on a range of documents, including building contracts, collateral warranties and consultancy agreements.
Caitlin joined Clarke Willmott in 2016 after training at a Bristol firm and specialising in construction law. Caitlin graduated from Cardiff University and is a fluent Welsh speaker.
Construction law experience
- Assisting in a successful adjudication on behalf of a national contractor against an employer in relation to a final account and payment notice dispute.
- Defending a series of adjudications in respect of payment on behalf of a contractor following breach of contract by a sub-contractor.
- Advising a main contractor on liability following a defects claim from the employer.
- Payment disputes upstream and downstream.
