Community Protection Order (Level 2)

The level 2 order would involve imposing restrictions on the use of a space including closing a property for a period. This order could be applied for in the magistrates court and would replace the existing crack house and premises closure orders. It is envisaged that a level 2 community protection order would be a local authority/police power to impose restrictions on a use of a space. It is not currently envisaged that a housing association could apply for this order. A breach of a level 2 order would be a criminal offence.
