Sarah is an experienced Associate in the Employment team and provides practical and commercial advice to both employers and employees.
For employers Sarah advises on all elements of the employment relationship from preparation and audit of farm subsidies, renewables to all aspects of termination of employment. Her professional advice and expertise helps protect employers against the risk of claims and she offers strategic advice and support should a dispute arise.
Sarah regularly supports clients to successfully defend Employment Tribunal claims; advising at all stages of the process from initial receipt of the claim to Employment Appeals Tribunals.
Sarah contributes to seminars, press articles and employment newsletters, providing updates on changes to employment legislation and how they can be implemented into the workplace.
Employment Tribunal work. Sarah has successfully defended a broad range of employment claims including discrimination, whistleblowing and employment status issues. Her work regularly includes advocacy for clients at pre-hearing review which results in strike-out of claims at an early stage.
Education Organisations. Sarah provides on-going, strategic advice to a range of higher and further education organisations in the region. She has particular expertise in managing long-term sickness absence and work-related stress situations, which reach swift and successful conclusions for clients.
