Muz Mian is an associate in Clarke Willmott solicitors’ London, housing management team. He is experienced in dealing with housing management related matters including possession hearings (anti-social behaviour, sub-letting and other breaches as well as trespassers); injunctions (anti-social behaviour and other breaches); committal proceedings; succession claims; disrepair; Environmental Protection Act claims and service charge disputes.
Muz has particular experience of conducting claims for possession involving allegations relating to fraud and complex defences where Human Rights or Equality Act issues have been raised. He has always enjoyed litigation. Each case Muz deals with has its own unique problems and he enjoys the challenge of finding solutions for his clients.
Muz particularly enjoys social housing because of its human touch, often sadly he has to deal with ASB however he feels that he can assist in a small way to bringing some respite to the victims.
Muz also enjoys delivering training courses as he gets an opportunity to meet client officers and understand the issues that are important to them. Before joining Clarke Willmott Muz worked in-house for Metropolitan Housing Trust Ltd. for eight years and prior to that he was in private practice.
Following allegations of anti-social behaviour obtained an injunction and after obtaining findings that the terms of the injunction were breached Muz issued and obtained possession relying on Ground 7A (mandatory ground for possession).
