Joann is a partner in the Planning and Environment team at Clarke Willmott with many years of experience working in the area.
Joann has a broad based planning, environmental and health and safety practice, acting for developers, local authorities, lenders, borrowers and high net worth individuals. She deals with all aspects of planning, environmental and health and safety law including drafting of planning and statutory agreements, regeneration projects, due diligence, compulsory purchase and judicial review.
Joann is the Chair of Women in Planning South Wales branch and plays an active role in organising events at a local and national level. Joann is also part of the South West Committee for the UK Environmental Law Association, a role which she thoroughly enjoys.
Joann has recently assisted Welsh Government in the production of a Compulsory Purchase Manual for Wales (published March 2021) which is procedural manual primarily to guide local authorities through the Compulsory Purchase Process.
