Emily qualified as a Solicitor in 2016 and joined Clarke Willmott in January 2019.
She has experience of advising employers in respect of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Emily has advised on all aspects of day-to-day HR and employment law matters, including redundancy, restructuring, disciplinary and grievance procedures, sickness absence, performance management, managing terminations of employment and settlement agreements. She has also regularly drafted and reviewed employment contracts, handbooks and policies.
Emily also has experience of advising individuals regarding their employment rights, particularly in the context of negotiations in relation to the termination of employment and settlement agreements.
She regularly conducts training seminars for HR professionals on essential employment law topics and offers on-site training to schools.
Education Sector – Emily has particular experience of providing employment law advice within the education sector and has worked closely with a large number of schools, academies and multi academy trusts for the last six years.
Investigating Officer – She is an experienced independent Investigating Officer and has undertaken disciplinary, grievance and parental complaint investigations.
Subject Access Requests – Emily is able to advise and assist employers dealing with subject access requests.
