We’re delighted to host Schemes, Scams and Scones – a great opportunity to catch up with each other and the members of our financial services team in Bristol over a marvellous afternoon tea of sandwiches and scones (with copious amounts of jam and cream, of course).
As well as tasty treats and a relaxed networking opportunity, our quarterly sessions highlight and open for discussion the latest court cases, regulatory updates, current hot topics in financial services or what we’re seeing a lot of (or expect to) as financial services lawyers. All extremely exciting, or perhaps just stuff which could be handy for you to know…
On 6 June, after we bottom out the correct pronunciation of ‘scone’ and whether the cream or jam should go on top, we’ll take a brief look at recent issues including DFMs and where the liabilities lie in claims for portfolio mismanagement, the implications of FOS award increases, and the differences between your PI insurance and ours and why (we think) it matters. Our topics aren’t fixed, so if anything interesting comes up between now and 4 June, we’ll cover that too.
Our first quarterly financial services social with local practitioners in March (‘COBS and croissants’) was a great success, so we hope to see you at the next one!
