How to deal with a complaint of sexual harassment and help employees to continue to work together afterwards
Since the Harvey Weinstein allegations surfaced last Autumn almost daily there have been a raft of similar news reports involving other high profile cases from all industries. It seems that sexual harassment in the workplace is far more common than people realised. Such incidents left ignored could lead to costly employment law claims and be extremely damaging to your business profile.
Kate Gardner and Paula Squire will start with a general update on employment law ‘hot topics’ and will then provide an overview of the law on sexual harassment, what amounts to inappropriate behaviour followed by hints and tips on protecting your business.
Our guest speaker, Dionne Dury from Resolution at Work, will then cover alternatives to formal processes and provide you with an understanding of how mediation and similar options can improve understanding, get to the real issues, rebuild working relationships and take account of the impacts on all concerned.
