“They’re focused and sharp, technically sound and committed to serving the local community.”

Chambers UK 2017

Our top tier agriculture and estates team provides a full complement of legal services (both contentious and non-contentious) to the agricultural and rural landowning communities nationally.

Lawyers within the Agricultural team specialise in subjects including agricultural property, employment, disputes & litigation, tenancies, matrimonial law, environmental issues, health & safety,  animal welfare, field sports, succession planning and renewable energy.

We act for individual farmers, rural landowners and agri-food businesses including primary, secondary and retail food producers of all sizes.

We have strong relationships with other rural and farming focussed organisations, many of which we actively support through corporate membership and sponsorship or through partnering them and assisting in providing advice to their large number of landowning members.

We are the NFU panel firm for the counties of Somerset, Dorset, Gloucester and Wiltshire.  We also work with other bodies such as the Countryside Alliance, the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT), Country Land & Business Association (CLA), Tenant Farmers Association (TFA), British Association of Shooting & Conservation (BASC), and the Historic Houses Association (HHA).

Many of the team are well known and regular speakers at sector conferences and we also host many specialist seminars throughout the year for the benefit of our clients.  The team prides itself on its exceptional level of practical, down-to-earth understanding of the sector, due to many of the team coming from hands on agricultural backgrounds.

We are recommended for Agriculture in the Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 legal directories.
