Trade Mark Attorney – Intellectual Property – Manchester or Southampton
We have an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Trade Mark Attorney to join our Legal 500 Top Tier ranked IP team in Manchester or Southampton, assisting us in the management of the trade mark prosecution practice. We are open to considering more senior level professionals but as a minimum, candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

We are looking for a Trade Mark Attorney to join our highly rated Intellectual Property team, assisting us with our day to day work with trade mark portfolios and trade mark proceedings.
Your regular responsibilities will include maintaining and monitoring the trade mark and domain name databases to ensure that they are up to date and deadlines are not missed, managing client trade mark portfolios and filing trade marks and design rights.
This is a hands on and varied role, where you will be dealing with oppositions and invalidity actions, assisting with IP due diligence, IP litigation cases and drafting submissions and evidence for trade mark proceedings.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.
If you are a Trade Mark Attorney, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, or a more established Trade Mark professional then we would be keen to hear from you.
You will be someone who is proactive and flexible in working both individually and as part of a team, with minimal supervision, and be able to prioritise a number of different pieces of work effectively.
Communication will be one of your strong points, both written and oral, and you will be enthusiastic about delivering excellent quality service to your clients.
We expect you to use your initiative, and be commercial in your approach, conscious of costing issues and anticipating your clients’ needs in advance wherever possible.
