Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Solicitor to join our Financial Services Litigation team.
In this role, you will be joining a well-regarded team made up of three Partners, an Associate, Chartered Legal Executive and 14 paralegals and support staff. The team is renowned for group actions, small and large, as well as handling complex, multi-million pound disputes.

Most of our people choose to work in a hybrid fashion, working from home and attending our offices on occasion. Our offices are in Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton, and Taunton.
Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
Our Financial Services Litigation team are specialists in resolving financial services disputes. The scope of their work includes, for example, claims and complaints relating to negligent investment and tax-planning advice, as well as pension disputes.
Current work includes, primarily, acting for former members of the British Steel Pension Scheme who were advised to transfer into personal pensions. So far, the team has successfully secured approximately £5 million in compensation for their steelworker clients.

This role will be predominantly home-based, but will allow you to work flexibly between your home working environment and one of our offices.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate within a continually growing fast paced team. If you are a qualified solicitor with between two and six years of experience, then we would like to hear from you.
You will have excellent litigation and dispute resolution skills with a focus on professional negligence. Experience of handling financial services professional negligence claims would be advantageous but is not essential.
Excellent communication, both written and oral, and team-work will be some of your strong points. You will be empathetic and enthusiastic about delivering an excellent quality service to your clients, despite working under pressure. You will be someone who is confident and able to assume conduct of files, working autonomously with only light supervision. You will also mentor and supervise our paralegals.
We expect you to be able to use your initiative, work proactively and think ahead; anticipating your clients’ needs in advance wherever possible.
You will also be able to demonstrate a willingness to be involved in business development activities.
