Solicitor / Associate (NQ-2 PQE) – Construction – Bristol, Cardiff, London, Southampton
A non-contentious construction lawyer role in an expanding team with superb quality of work and client base.
Role: Solicitor or Associate (NQ-2 PQE)
Location: Bristol, Cardiff, London, Southampton
Hours: Full time
Vacancy Reference: 493-LVS
We are looking for a budding non-contentious construction lawyer for our team in Bristol. The team’s client base spans a broad range of sectors and projects. This team is expanding as part of the firm’s strategic growth plans. This is an opportunity to get involved in high quality work and contribute to a growing and ambitious construction team.
The role will involve a mixture of major projects, real estate development, banking & finance and mergers & acquisitions work:
- We are involved in some major energy and infrastructure projects, including clean energy, nuclear, transport and manufacturing. These are largely NEC3 or FIDIC based contracts including EPC, O&M and related contracts. This work also includes working closely with our corporate / commercial team.
- We also advise on development aspects of commercial real estate development. These are largely JCT-related documents. The sector range is far-reaching and includes retail & leisure, education, housebuilding, social housing and banking & finance.
In Bristol, we work cross-office with colleagues in other regional offices, which allows greater variety of work, wider supervision, and the opportunity to really build a “national team”.
There will also be plenty of opportunity for client contact and business development. We are highly sector and client focussed and our “Next Gen” group is highly encouraged to participate in networking and marketing activities.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.
We are looking for someone with good basic experience and training in construction law. At this level we would also be willing to consider someone who wants to do construction but has limited experience in it. For example, you may have done: commercial law, commercial contracts, property with development, or projects and are genuinely “interested” in construction. In particular, someone with drive and passion who likes building relationships and growing business would be well suited to this role.
In return we will offer fantastic opportunities in a growing practice, on-going training and great client exposure, coupled with a flexible working style and great firm culture.
