Fantastic opportunity for an established senior energy lawyer, ideally with a following, to join our flourishing Green Energy practice and to be instrumental in assisting in its further growth.

Most of our people choose to work in a hybrid fashion, working from home and attending our offices on occasion. Our offices are in Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton, and Taunton.
Relevant Expertise:
Demonstrating that you have expertise in:
- Specialising in wholesale market trading arrangements in relation to energy commodities, route to market and power purchase arrangements.
- Advising developers, utilities, corporates and financiers on all regulatory and commercial matters relating to energy projects, including power purchase, grid connection arrangements, optimisation and subsidy regimes for renewable generation and battery storage projects and also including familiarity with Ofgem rules and procedures.
- All forms of route to market arrangements within the power sector and associated regulatory matters, including the contract for difference, capacity market and ROC/FIT schemes and accreditations.

This role is right for you if:
With at least six years of post-qualification experience, you will have established strong client relationships within the energy sector.
You will be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware. We are looking for someone who has strong client links and preferably a guaranteed following. However, if you have strong business development skills, the experience and confidence to develop and build business from existing clients as well as attracting new clients from other areas of practice across the firm and the wider business community, we would love to hear from you.
You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and drive. We undertake high quality, high profile and complex work. There is opportunity to be involved in business development and help shape the direction of the team moving forwards.
