Paralegal (x2) – Commercial Property – Southampton
A fantastic opportunity, with good long-term prospects, for two paralegals to join our Southampton team, assisting the Commercial Property department.

Nationally, our Commercial Property team has presence in all seven of our offices and consists of approximately 85 fee earners and support staff. Nationally, we have 28 well-regarded Partners and we are continuing to grow.
In Southampton, you will be assisting a team of 12 lawyers working closely with them on a variety of transactions.
The team advise on a wide variety of property related matters for a variety of clients; secured lending, property acquisitions and disposals including property due diligence and real estate finance, property/portfolio management work, and the property aspects of corporate acquisitions disposal and funding.
You will assist with producing reports on title and lease reports in language that our clients will understand, undertake legal research, review and report on conveyancing searches and planning documentation (planning permissions and S106 Agreements) and raise appropriate enquiries with third parties and assist with property due diligence on larger transactions.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone with convincing aspirations for a career in law, and an interest in property law. You will be able to demonstrate real potential, with the talent, ambition and interest to succeed in a career within this field. As a law or GDL graduate or a member of the Institute of Legal Executives, you will already have a good technical grounding in the law.
We would prefer you to have at least six months’ experience as a paralegal, and if this experience is within the property sector this would be especially helpful. Whatever your experience, you will need excellent academics and strong communication skills to be considered.
The work requires self-motivation and the ability to work to demanding deadlines, so you’ll need to show us that you are proactive and have initiative, drive and great organisational skills.

We expect you to be someone who takes pride in your work, providing a first class support service to the lawyers you support and to our clients, anticipating their needs in advance wherever possible, and paying meticulous attention to detail in all of your work.
