Who we are
You’ll be joining a national law firm that enjoys a strong reputation, made possible by our exceptional people – each chosen for their industry knowledge and passion for their field. We want to help you to reach your full potential, love the work you do and deliver the best results for your clients. It’s our goal to make you feel great about working with us, and we work hard to cultivate a culture that makes it easy for you to stay with us for many years.

Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
As a paralegal in our team, you will assist the teams experienced lawyers to achieve the best results for their clients. You will learn how to draft and negotiate complex contracts on behalf of a wide range of clients and gain a broader understanding of associated issues relating to property and finance to ensure your advice is fully rounded, commercially savvy and helps them achieve their goals.
It is intellectually challenging and demanding work, requiring a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to interpret and apply legal principles. You will process complex information under time constraints to give accurate but practical advice in plain English to colleagues and clients. You will sit in our very approachable non-contentious construction team, working with one partner, a senior associate, solicitor, trainee and administration assistant.
You will also be involved in business development activities which may involve preparation of marketing literature and attendance at client seminars and other events.
This is a busy role, with deadlines to manage and competing priorities, so you will be required to work quickly, accurately and efficiently and remain calm under pressure. You will be expected to think ahead to meet the needs of the other fee earners and our clients.
We are looking for someone with a passion for this type of work in whom we can invest on a long-term basis.

You will want to work hard, but we don’t expect you to work late every night. Yes, there are deadlines to meet and occasional late nights, but we don’t believe that long hours are healthy or produce great client service. This is an environment with a sensible balance between challenging work and a life beyond it.
You will be a team player and relish helping others and be eager to learn. We expect you to be someone who takes pride in your work and who will provide a first-class support service to your fee earners, anticipating their needs in advance wherever possible, and paying meticulous attention to detail in all of your work.
