Are you a Learning and Development specialist that enjoys making an impact by designing, delivering/implementing and managing comprehensive training and development programmes tailored to the needs different audiences?
If yes, then we are looking for a learning and development consultant to join our HR team to support the upskilling of our people through a focus on developing professional skills, promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with our HR and wider L&D team as well as in partnership with our Knowledge Services and IT training team to ensure a joined up programme across the full breadth of development activities within the firm.

Hours: Up to 30hrs a week

Most of our people choose to work in a hybrid fashion, working from home and attending our offices on occasion. Our offices are in Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton, and Taunton.
Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
- Developing our training programme activities:
- Assess the learning and development needs of our legal, admin and professional services staff aligned to delivery of the firm’s strategic objectives.
- Design, develop and implement training programmes that address identified needs.
- Collaboration with key stakeholders across the firm to create specialised training programmes.
- Facilitation & delivery of our training programmes:
- Conduct training sessions, workshops and seminars using a variety of instructional methods such as in-person, virtual, e-learning, social learning etc.
- Engage with external trainers and consultants as needed to enhance training offerings.
- Oversee and review our coaching programmes:
- Review approach to coaching provision and develop a proposed coaching programme to support and align with overall upskilling activities.
- Conducting training evaluation:
- Develop and manage a framework for evaluating the effectiveness of training programmes through feedback, assessments and performance metrics.
- Development of our Learning Management System:
- Enhance the content and learning pathways on the existing LMS (Kallidus Learn), creating blended programmes as well as standalone content.
- Build new e-learning content.
This role is right for you if:
- You have a proven track record of designing and delivering learning programmes, utilising adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- You are able to facilitate and deliver training programmes, engaging varied audiences and helping to bring the learning to life.
- You understand the nature of a professional services organisation.
