IT Support Specialist – Bristol
Our Bristol office is looking for an IT support specialist to to provide support in all activities and services provided by a busy IT team.

The Clarke Willmott IT Team provides a full range of services including infrastructure and application support, system development and integration, project delivery and IT Training.
As IT Support Specialist, your responsibilities will be varied and you will work along with the wider IT team to perform a range of duties including:
- VMware, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi and SRM support
- Citrix XenApp Support
- Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop support
- Microsoft SQL Database Support
- PC & laptop build and configuration from SCCM
- Application support and training
- Active Directory administration and reporting
- Asset and inventory management
- Infrastructure tasks, e.g. patching, audit and reporting
- Mobile phone setup and support
- Project deployment and support
- Documentation maintenance
- Report and Management Information production
- General administrative duties to support the team
This role is ideally suited for someone who has a solid grounding in IT and is looking for a varied role. You will be a self-starter and happy to catch whatever’s thrown at you.
You will work closely with all of the IT Management team, and join an ambitious bunch that are passionate about the service and products they deliver.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm; common sense and plenty of get up and go.
This is a technical hands-on role splitting project design and implementation along with BAU support. You will need to be able to prioritise your own workload, work closely to deadlines, and work with minimum supervision and under pressure. In some cases you will be the last line of support, so you’ll need tenacity, creativity and excellent problem solving skills to get to a resolution.
You will need to demonstrate from experience that you are exceptionally organised and proactive, that you have a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude and that you have the skills to work closely with the internal IT team, third party service suppliers and directly with the business.
The role will see you taking responsibility for our systems and these operate on a Microsoft / Citrix platform so a good understanding of supporting infrastructure technologies (Active Directory, physical and virtual servers, storage and backup, LAN, WAN, telephony etc.), as well as, demonstrable support skills in as many of the following technologies as possible:
- Citrix XenApp
- VMware vSphere, vCentre, ESXi and SRM
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Exchange
- Blackberry UEM
Exposure to legal applications such as, Elite Enterprise, iManage, VisualFiles, Liberate, Metastorm, BigHand, Sharepoint, Timebuilder and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Powershell and SSRS would be an advantage but not essential.
If you have experience of working for a law firm, this would be a significant benefit.
You will have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, with excellent spelling and grammar.
