Our Home Sales team work for local, regional and national house builders and registered providers. They cover the full range of home sales conveyancing including: outright sales; shared ownership, part exchange; staircasing and lease extensions.
We are looking for experienced conveyancers / Solicitors to focus on drafting contracts and associated documentation for the site set up of developments (open market and shared ownership). This is an intellectually stimulating role which allows technically strong lawyers to focus on the legal aspects with support from other team members in obtaining supporting documentation. This frees up our senior lawyers to do what they do best.
The team is engaged on a programme of continued improvement and practice development, harnessing IT and creating tailored services for clients. In this role, in addition to spending approximately two thirds of your time engaged on the conveyancing drafting work detailed above, you will also support the team’s managers with a variety of responsibilities and leading projects. We are looking for someone with a special combination of skills. As a lawyer, you will probably be a solicitor, FCilex or licensed conveyancer with exceptional drafting skills and a strong knowledge of property/land law gained over at least 2-4 years. Ideally this will be in residential conveyancing but you could be a commercial property lawyer looking for a new challenge. Experience of new build conveyancing work is highly desirable, particularly if it includes experience of acting for social housing registered providers.
In addition you will need to be highly commercial with drive, initiative and vision to keep us at the cutting edge of the high volume conveyancing sector. It is very important to us that you are solution focussed. You will be able to see the risks and obstacles, but able to find a way to overcome them. Getting the job done, and done well, for our clients is paramount.
