Paralegal – Commercial Property – Cardiff
A fantastic opportunity, with good long-term prospects, for a paralegal to join our friendly Cardiff office, assisting the Commercial Property department.

As a paralegal in our well-regarded Commercial Property team, you will support our solicitors in providing a first-class service for our clients. Our Cardiff office opened in May 2015 and is thriving, building a solid platform within commercial property, social housing, banking and finance. We have big plans to see it develop into a fuller service practice and are looking to recruit people who share our vision. As a smaller office, it has a relaxed and friendly culture and it can provide a level of flexibility, opportunity and development which might be missing in bigger practices.
We are looking for a paralegal to assist the lawyers in the Commercial Property team with their work, working closely with them on a variety of transactions. The team advise on a wide variety of property related matters; secured lending, property acquisitions and disposals including property due diligence and real estate finance, property/portfolio management work, and the property aspects of corporate acquisitions disposal and funding.

Most of our people choose to work in a hybrid fashion, working from home and attending our offices on occasion. Our offices are in Bristol, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton, and Taunton
Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
Undertaking a range of Paralegal duties, to include:
- Assisting with producing reports on title
- Summarising lengthy and sometimes complex title documents and leases into shorter digestible documents in language that our clients will understand
- Reviewing conveyancing searches
- Planning documentation (planning permissions and S106 Agreements) raising appropriate enquiries with third parties.
This role is right for you if:
You are a law/GDL graduate or equivalent with a keen interest in law.
Previous paralegal experience would be desirable, particularly Commercial Property experience, but what is most important is your attitude, so you will need to show us that you are hard-working, with initiative, drive and great organisational skills. On-the-job training and guidance will be provided to enable you to succeed in this role.
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, being able to adapt your style to communicate effectively with a wide range of professional people and other stakeholders.
This is a busy role, with deadlines to manage and competing priorities, so you will be required to work quickly, accurately and efficiently and remain calm under pressure. We expect you to be someone who takes pride in your work and who will provide a first class support service to your colleagues and our clients, anticipating their needs in advance wherever possible, and paying meticulous attention to detail in all of your work.
