A legal dispute can be a daunting and stressful predicament, the outcome of which can impact greatly on your life At Clarke Willmott, we pride ourselves on making our substantial resources of legal skills in dispute resolution as much available to individuals as to corporate clients. We are vigilant in protecting and promoting our clients rights and interests as well as protecting and developing their wealth (click here to find out more about our package of services). We can advise on a diverse range of disputes including consumer protection, professional negligence, regulation, contentious trusts and probate, landlord and tenant, land law issues, personal injury, to name but a few. Many of our lawyers hold further professional qualifications in their chosen field, or are members of specialist lawyers associations. By taking a pro-active approach, we hope to be able to advise you before a dispute arises wherever possible. We understand that sometimes our clients will find themselves in conflict situations and that they will need to depend on us to act vigilantly and vigorously on their behalf. We recognise the need to advise you expertly, but also to ensure that you are kept fully informed. Litigation is still the most common means of settling civil disputes. We have developed our practice to take full benefit of the recent reforms in the civil justice system. For instance we have a team of three Solicitor-Advocates with Higher Rights of Audience who can represent you at court instead of a barrister where appropriate. We also welcome the increasing opportunities presented by Alternative Dispute Resolutions, such as Mediation and Arbitration. Though not appropriate for every case, they can offer speedier and cheaper means of resolving disputes and, particularly in disputes between family members, can offer the prospect of rebuilding strained relationships. Within our team we have trained mediators, arbitrators and adjudicators. For further information, please contact Owen Williams. |
