For businesses employing people the regulatory framework from both the UK as well as Europe is becoming even tighter. Businesses that fail to adhere to the legislation face onerous penalties.

We are an employer focussed team and provide commercial solutions to employment and HR issues. We handle all employment related matters including unfair dismissal, redundancy, sex, race, age and disability discrimination, family friendly issues as well as breach of contract claims. Working with Clarke Willmott’s company team, we also advise on the sale and purchase of companies including TUPE implications.

We are all members of either the Employment Lawyer’s Association or the Employment Lawyer’s Bar Association and are regularly involved in employment tribunal proceedings. The team includes a number of solicitor advocates as well as a barrister. We therefore provide full employment tribunal support for businesses, including advocacy.

Recognising the business requirements of many of our clients, we developed our Employment Law Advantage Scheme which provides an audit of employee documentation, ongoing employment and HR advice and an insurance policy against employment tribunal claims and legal costs.

Our clients are drawn from a wide range of industry sectors across the United Kingdom. We also have considerable industry expertise in sport, leisure and real estate and construction sectors.

For further information, please contact Chris Piggot (Birmingham), Mike Wilson (Southampton) or Nic Hart (Bristol).
