Club Support

Club Support provides the added resource club directors and senior management need from time to time. It offers a bespoke, practical, commercial source of advice on all regulatory and disciplinary matters.

On hand seven days a week, our specialist team are all recognised nationally as leaders in their field. They deliver advice and provide solutions that aim to resolve issues at the earliest opportunity.

With excellence in the law as a given they also have a detailed understanding of the industry. The knowledge and reputation has been gained from considerable time spent as owners/directors and stakeholders in professional clubs, advising over 30 professional teams and working with many more on a broad range of matters.

Our Club Support service includes:

• advice on misconduct issues and attendance at participant interviews at the inquiry stage
• defending clubs against charges brought for breaches of FA or governing body regulations, through the High Court or other tribunals, including criminal investigations and prosecutions
• presenting before Regulatory Commissions and Appeal Boards
• preparing and bringing claims within both the football regulatory and High Court systems
• advising on both internal and external disciplinary hearings including the writing of rules and procedures
• negotiation and drafting of transfer agreements, employee/managerial contracts, and advising on dismissals, terminations and breaches of contract
• representation at transfer tribunal hearings
• advice concerning 'on the field of play' incidents or disputes arising from matches including those of both civil and criminal nature
