I am pleased to announce that the Clarke Willmott Social Housing team continues to expand with two new appointments to the team.
Amy Gibbs joins Jonathan Hulley’s housing management team. Amy is a well known name in housing circles and joins us having worked at Devonshires for some years.
Elinor Davis joins Chimi Shakohoxha’s development team. Elinor is an experienced development professional having worked in the sector at both Bevan Brittan and Coffin Mew working on development agreements/joint ventures, golden brick schemes as well as major regeneration projects. Elinor is also very experienced in Commercial Property leases for the sector and has worked on stock rationalisation and charging exercises.
Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year from the team.
Anne Hayward,
Partner & Head of Social Housing
This edition includes an article on the new Regulatory Framework for social housing in England 2012, news on new legislation that makes squatting in residential premises a criminal offence, an article on the White Paper containing proposals to reform the legal powers which police, local authorities and housing associations have to tackle anti-social behaviour and articles on Welfare Reform and new proposals to crack down on unauthorised subletting.
The Team continues to assist our clients in successfully tackling anti-social behaviour and other breaches of tenancy agreements, including unauthorised subletting and so we have included a number of articles on cases successfully progressed to trial as well as some useful tips on how to ensure you secure possession and injunction orders at the earliest opportunity.
We also welcome Amy Gibbs to our growing Team. Amy is an outstanding housing litigator who is known for the meticulous preparation of her cases and joins as a solicitor based in our Southampton office. I am sure that Amy will be a hit with our clients.
