Peter is a Partner in the Commercial Property department and heads up the Southampton team. He specialises in retail and development work. His work includes the drafting and negotiation of business leases for retail, office and warehouse premises, secured lending in relation to both freehold and leasehold properties together with re-mortgaging and attending to management matters on behalf of mortgagees. He also provides advice and assistance to the Company Commercial department in relation to property aspects of the sale and purchase of companies and company assets including consideration of property warranties and the provision of certificates of title.

Peter has broad experience of a variety of commercial property transactions including acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold property for investment and development purposes, substantial landlord and tenant work acting both for large institutional landlords and tenants and smaller enterprises, drafting and negotiation of heads of terms and development agreements (incorporating overage, construction and collateral warranty provisions) and general property management work.

Peter acts for some of the firm's major clients in these sectors, including HSBC, Lloyds TSB and the Isle of Wight Local Authority.
