Employment Matters

Welcome to the January 2012 edition

Hello again from Clarke Willmott LLP's Employment and HR Consultancy team and welcome to another edition of Employment Matters.

2012 is certainly going to be a year of upheaval as the Coalition Government's plans to make changes to the employment law system start coming in to effect. Which of Vince Cable's proposals will come into force? Which of his proposals are merely that, proposals? One thing is certain: the future for employment law is hazy and time will only tell whether Mr Cable's proposals will change the system for the better.

This month we have any array of different and interesting topics including a recent update on compromise agreements and the Government's new proposals for the dismissal of teaching staff. We also cover entitlement to parental leave and share our tips on good team work. Finally, of course, the spotlight hits another of our team members.

For further information on any of the topics in this month's Employment Matters, please contact a member of the Employment and HR team.
