Pensions, savings and insurance products are crucial to the welfare of millions. Sadly, they are also a common source of disputes, because the legal duties of care and contractual provisions in place are not always properly observed. We help our clients resolve these disputes and recover the money they have lost. Our work typically involves disputes concerning pensions and investment mis-selling claims, negligent investment portfolio management, negligent estate and tax planning, failure to account for money, HMRC restrictions on benefits from occupational pension schemes, and non-disclosure in relation to life insurance policies. Clients rightly take our litigation experience for granted, but we also regularly represent clients in proceedings before the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Pensions Ombudsman.

We tend to take a robust approach to handling disputes, but we are acutely aware that litigation (in particular) can be a very stressful experience and that an early settlement is often preferable to a court judgment or an ombudsman's determination. Essentially we work closely with our clients to secure the best possible outcome in their individual circumstances and with the minimum of fuss.
