FAQ: what is Clarke Willmott's role? Why are you proposing to charge fees and not commission? As a firm of solicitors, we charge fees plus VAT for the advice we give. As we are offering advice to you, we have chosen a vehicle which we think best delivers that advice and, most importantly, at the most competitive cost. Why has Clarke Willmott chosen to deliver CWIP? Clarke Willmott has a large private capital department: a team of lawyers and investment managers advising individuals on all aspects of their personal affairs. Clarke Willmott is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. We developed CWIP as a way of making the top-level advice that we regularly give to our private clients more widely available. CWIP will be the first of several packaged advice services from Clarke Willmott. Will you monitor or review the investments you recommend? No. We will recommend the investments we think most appropriate for your circumstances as you disclose them to us and in the light of the current investment climate but we will not monitor those investments. If you wish for on-going advice or monitoring of investment performance, please tell us and we will discuss additional options with you. |
