Here at Clarke Willmott, our roots go all the way back to 1898. While we’re rightly proud of our history, our focus is always on the future – the firm’s, our people’s and, of course, that of our clients.
As a firm, we are committed to providing excellent opportunities for talented people to train and qualify as solicitors with us. Following a review of our training contract recruitment process, the firm will be adopting a new and innovative approach which will see us moving away from the traditional methods of recruiting our trainee solicitors two years in advance.
Our new process is focused on identifying and recruiting our future trainee solicitors through our internal paralegal pool. As such, there are no intake dates – paralegals will be recruited throughout the year based on the business requirements of our teams.
There is no guarantee that all our paralegals will progress to become trainee solicitors, progression will depend on performance of the individual together with the needs of their team.
In order to be offered a training contract, paralegals will need to have already completed their Legal Practice Course and acquired 12 months experience within the firm. As set out by the SRA, the training contract will consist of experience in 3 different areas of law which will include a mixture of contentious of non-contentious work but ultimately the trainee will qualify into the team where they worked as a paralegal.
We have a number of paralegals working within the firm and for details of our vacancies, please visit our vacancies page.
