The financial services industry is now a fertile breeding ground for disputes. Put simply, we help our clients resolve these disputes favourably.

We act for people in the industry including financial advisers, accountants, stockbrokers and the trustees of occupational pension schemes. We are experienced in handling a wide range of disputes from complaints by retail customers about pensions and investment mis-selling to disagreements between firms about commission or claims liabilities. We also advise our clients on regulatory matters, ways to avoid complaints, and opportunities to help their own clients' recover investment losses.

We offer genuine financial services knowledge. Our team all hold certificates in financial planning or similar and we stay up-to-the-minute in terms of regulatory developments, so we understand the industry and the general issues our clients face.

Clients rightly take our experience in the courts for granted, but we are not all about litigation: we regularly represent clients in proceedings before the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Pensions Ombudsman, and of course we use mediation and without prejudice negotiation where appropriate.

We take a robust yet commercial approach. We have the expertise to protect our clients' interests in the most complex cases, but we are acutely aware that disputes cost time and money to deal with and that settlement can sometimes be preferable to a court judgment or an ombudsman's determination.
